MINTHIS GOLF COURSE

For all levels, Minthis Hills has elevated tee boxes, but also more exciting challenges such as narrow, tree-lined fairways, where careful thought, skill and precision are required. The short PAR 4 12th hole is an example of the course's unique challenges, where the green can be reached with a well-directed drive, though a treacherous valley cascading down the left side impacts every move. In contrast, holes 14 and 17 are challenging and arduous PAR 4's requiring accuracy and distance to reach the green in 2 shots. The new hole #13 provides an excellent crescendo to a set of good PAR 3's, with the green surrounded by water.

APHRODITE HILLS GOLF COURSE

This distinctive, sweeping landscape offers challenges for golfers of all skill levels and requires real skill to succeed on the holes that skirt and traverse the spectacular central ravine. This deep and striking canyon that separates the golf course into 2 plateaus makes the course truly unique; the descent to hole 7 is an adventure in itself. The back tee of hole #3 overlooks the gorge and is an exhilarating shot; while holes #8 and #15 offer exquisite views. Voted in the top 20 most popular golf courses in Europe in 2011, it's no wonder this course is known as one of the best in the Mediterranean. Cabell Robinson, course designer lists some challenges "Personally, I think it takes a lot of courage to reach the flag when it's at the bottom of 12. Hole 16 is the most difficult PAR 4 in my opinion, and 18 is a wonderful and accessible PAR 5". The Aphrodite Hills Golf Club is part of a resort complex consisting of a 5* hotel, several bars, and restaurants, an award-winning Greco-Roman spa, a tennis academy offering multi-surface courses, an equestrian center, and a hiking and biking trail.

Discover the famous city of Paphos and its region with its many sites listed as cultural treasures and its
Passing by the Pillar of St. Paul, around which the ruins of a vast early Christian basilica are spread. Continuation of the visit with a stop at the House of Dionysus and its mosaics which are among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. Discovery of the "Tombs of the Kings", dating from the 3rd century BC. Stop at the village of Yeroskipou, the sacred garden of the goddess Aphrodite for a tasting of fresh Turkish delight. Finally, visit the 9th-century church of Ayia Paraskevi, one of the first vaulted basilicas, considered a rare piece of Byzantine architecture in Cyprus.

Discovery of the Venetian walls dating from the 16th century, passing through the Famagusta Gate, the seat of the Archbishopric, and visit of the St. John's Cathedral with its beautiful frescos. Continuation with the discovery of the Byzantine art museum and its large collection of icons (8th and 18th century). Stop at the Freedom Monument and visit the Archaeological Museum, the richest on the island with its remarkable collection from the early Byzantine period. Passing the demarcation line, stop in the city center for a walk in the popular and commercial district of old Nicosia ("Laiki Yitonia").

Discovery of the north of the city on foot. Visit the Saint Sophie cathedral where the coronation of the Lusignans took place. Then walk to Buyuk Han, a superb caravanserai built-in 1572.
